Roots of Japanese Curry

The Japanese curry is a little bit different from the Indian curry.

In Meiji era, Imperial Japanese Navy brought a curry flavored stew which had eaten by HMS in their military food.  And rearranged it more thickened and poured over rice.

Soon, it became so popular among others after military people spread the recipe.

This is a origin of the Japanese curry that everyone loves!
