The rainy season usually starts around June 8 in Tokyo.
This year, the Japanese Meteorological Agency announced the beginning of rainy season in June 10. (In regular season, the rainy season ends July 20.)
During this season, it rains on and off all day. So, it is common to carry a folding umbrella.
